Basketball event intramurals 2023



 





The ISU Intramurals 2023 is in high gear, and one of the most thrilling and competitive activities is basketball. The basketball event is divided into six categories: Basketball Boys, Basketball Girls, 5 vs 5 basketball boys, 5 vs 5 basketball girls, 3 vs 3 basketball boys, and 3 vs 3 basketball girls. The participants are split into six teams, each symbolizing a unique course or program of the university: Polytechnic School - Blue Falcons, College of Criminal Justice Education - Red Wildcats, Information Technology-Purple Archers, College of Education - White Wolverine, Hospitality Management - Yellow Jaguars, and DAT-BAT-Green Fighters. The teams engage in a round-robin format, where each team competes against every other team once. The team with the most victories in each category will be crowned the champion.


The basketball event commenced on November 15, and it was evident from the outset that three teams were ruling the court: College of Criminal Justice Education-Red Wildcats, Polytechnic School - Blue Falcons, Hospitality Management - Yellow Jaguars. These 3 teams demonstrated their skills, teamwork, and determination in every match, as they triumphed over their opponents with remarkable scores.The basketball event turned out to be a hit and a delightful experience, largely due to the enthusiastic involvement and collaboration of each program and college. The event also highlighted the culture, sports, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the ISU community, as well as the capabilities of the ISUans. Nevertheless, the event also encountered a few hurdles and complications, such as scheduling conflicts, weather conditions, and issues with the courts

  The volleyball girls event commenced on November 15, and it was evident right from the beginning that one team had their sights set on victory: College of Criminal Justice Education - Red Wildcats. The CCJE team showcased their skills, teamwork, and determination in every match, emerging victorious with impressive scores. CCJE is so good at playing volleyball.  - The CCJE squad kicked off the volleyball event with great enthusiasm, securing a 40-31 victory against CED in a race-to-40 game during the Intramurals 2023 on November 15, at the ISU-AC open ground.The volleyball girls event proved to be a triumph and a delightful experience, owing to the enthusiastic involvement and collaboration of every program and college.
